Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Scheduler Level 1 to provide project-level scheduling support for Construction & Development. Responsibilities include developing durations, phasing, reviewing updates, and recommending mitigation for delays.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Telework is available one day per week, with opportunities for professional growth and benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of related experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have focus and ability to deliver on results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Must possess excellent team building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assists a Senior Scheduler by providing project-level scheduling support to the project team.
• Develop project construction duration. Prepare project phasing plans and participate in project risk assessment and constructability reviews.
• Study, review, analyze and present schedule related project specific issues for resolution.
• Manage scheduling and planning functions using Primavera P6 software across project portfolios.
• Participate in monthly job progress meetings and update project schedules; resolve discrepancies and mitigate delays.
• Evaluate and analyze extensions of time, change orders and claims.
• Prepare schedule fragments, chronology, charts, and narratives; work with teams to take corrective actions.
