No prior experience is required as you learn on the job under experienced professionals, performing field observations, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites.

You will receive comprehensive training with opportunities to pursue OSHA 10, ACI, NICET certifications, and related endorsements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Willing to obtain CMT knowledge and certifications.
  • Physically able to lift 85 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • No prior experience required; paid training provided.
  • OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites under supervision.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards and procedures.
  • Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction from test results; assist with documentation as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain daily communication with contractors, technicians, and project managers; report site changes.
  • Training and Development: Learn ECS methodology for observations, inspections, and testing; document findings precisely.
