Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Hagerstown, MD. No experience is required as you will learn under experienced staff.

You will conduct field sampling, testing, and data collection on construction sites, while receiving comprehensive training and potential certification support. Responsibilities include performing tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete, communicating with project teams, and developing skills in ECS methodologies.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must lift up to 85 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM lab standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written).

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete at project sites.
• Perform routine field and/or lab tests following industry standards.
• Collect data, calculations, and data reduction; assist with drafting/administrative duties.
• Maintain communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
