ECS Group of Companies is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Aberdeen, MD. No experience is required, as you will learn under experienced staff and receive paid training.

The role involves field testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete, data collection, and coordination with project teams. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift 85 pounds, hold a valid driver’s license, and be willing to obtain ASTM/OSHA certifications as part of

Formación

  • No experience required; training provided.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards.
  • OSHA 10 certification may be required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) on sites under supervision.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and/or lab tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete per standards.
  • Data Collection: Calculate and reduce data from sampling/test results; assist with calculations and drafting as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes.
  • Training and Development: Learn ECS methodologies and document findings with engineering accuracy.

Conocimientos

Strong communication skills
