ECS Southeast, LLP is offering a unique opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Charlotte, NC. This role requires no prior experience, as we provide paid training and cover certification fees to help you advance in a dynamic work environment.

You will conduct materials testing, support construction projects, and gain knowledge of industry standards while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals. Strong communication skills and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

  • No experience required.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
  • Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
  • Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications leading to certifications.
  • OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials on job sites.
  • Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete.
  • Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling and test results.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers.
  • Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations and inspections.
