Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC, based in Chicago, IL, is hiring an Associate Graduate Engineer to design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects. You will develop creative solutions to electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges, while guiding projects through the full design lifecycle from initiation to closeout.

The role requires a BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 0–2 years of experience and an EIT being preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree, or related field.
• EIT certification preferred.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
• Provide solutions addressing electrical, structural, civil, and construction challenges.
• Own all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and asset management platforms.
• Analyze survey data, atlas information, field sketches, and datasheets.
• Manage time and project milestones; collaborate with teams.
