Job summary

Halff in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer I who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 to assist in designing and producing construction plans for municipal projects under the mentorship of professional engineers. You will gain experience on roads, drainage, water and wastewater utilities, parks, and site design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent.
• Texas EIT license or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and equipment.
• Ability to balance multiple objectives and make good decisions.
• Experience with CAD/AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering team to design and produce construction plans for local infrastructure projects.
• Use design software to display calculations and layouts for construction plans.
• Draft reports and present plans to audiences with varied technical backgrounds.
• Estimate construction costs and quantities, perform site visits, and review submittals.
