Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification for cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams including patient education and transport.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and caregivers.
• Document results and apply charge codes.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; support quality initiatives.
• Participate in education and mentor others.
