Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols and exams.
• Prioritize and schedule echocardiography exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients and educating them on procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols and in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and apply charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
