Jacobs Solutions Inc. in Honolulu is seeking an Entry Level Building Mechanical Engineer for Summer 2027 to support the Federal Buildings team.

You will work on HVAC, plumbing and other building systems for government and institutional clients, starting with design calculations, drawings, and specifications. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on multidisciplinary teams, gain exposure to project planning, budgets, and schedules, and grow your technical skills on state-of-the-art

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; OPT/visa holders not eligible.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–2 years building mechanical systems experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; EIT or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site surveys, facility assessments, client meetings, and project planning workshops.
• Develop engineering calculations, drawings and specifications with other design disciplines.
• Support construction-phase activities, review submittals and respond to design questions.
• Collaborate with project teams from kickoff to completion to meet schedule and budget.
• Learn and apply industry standards, codes and best practices on real-world projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited)

EIT or ability to obtain upon hire

0-2 years of Building Mechanical experience
