Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop digital hardware for high-performance avionics hardware products. The role focuses on processing computers, network switches, and related modules used in commercial and military aircraft, with on-site work in Cedar Rapids.

You will design circuit boards, support product recertification, identify cost savings, and help troubleshoot field equipment while engaging in advanced avionics networking tech for aircraft

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
Experience in Electrical Engineering role.

Responsibilities

Design circuit/board layouts to support product lifecycle.
Support product recertification (TSO/PMA) due to changes.
Identify cost saving opportunities and assist production to meet on-time goals.
Troubleshoot field or OEM equipment and manage obsolescence.
Evaluate designs for cost, manufacturing, and testing.
