Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a General Service Technician to start an automotive career in a hands-on shop environment. You’ll handle oil changes, tire services, basic maintenance, and Digital Vehicle Inspections while learning from experienced technicians and store leaders in a supportive, growth-oriented team.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role suitable for mechanically inclined candidates.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training helpful.
• Experience in automotive service or hands-on work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services: mounting, dismounting, balancing, rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance (fluids, wipers, filters).
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and proper documentation.
• Identify safety issues and communicate findings through proper channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable under supervision.
• Keep shop, customer area, and restrooms clean and organized.
• Transport parts, tires, and supplies as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards.
