Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Surprise, AZ is seeking a General Service Technician in a full-time role. You’ll perform oil changes, tire services, and basic maintenance while learning Digital Vehicle Inspections and shop operations.

Qualifications

• The right candidate is reliable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and ready to build foundational shop skills.
• Strong interest or desire to work in the automotive repair industry.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards, and store processes.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance, including fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, and air and cabin filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through the proper store channels.
• Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and report hazards or unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
• Keep customer vehicles, the shop, service area, showroom, restrooms, and outside areas clean and customer-ready.
• Transport customers and pick up parts, tires, and supplies using company or customer vehicles as directed.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, and complete other duties as assigned.
