Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring an entry-level General Service Technician at our Old Bayshore location. You will perform tire services, oil changes, and basic maintenance while learning Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation.

This role supports safety checks and shop cleanliness in a busy automotive environment. You will grow through hands-on training and mentorship toward more advanced technician roles.

Qualifications

• Candidate is mechanically inclined, safety‑minded, and eager to learn basic automotive maintenance.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards and store processes.
• Willingness to work with technicians, service advisors, and store leaders.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance (fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, filters).
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and document repair orders accurately.
• Identify safety issues and report findings through proper channels.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements; maintain a clean shop.
• Transport customers and parts using company or customer vehicles as needed.
• Work with technicians and service advisors; participate in ongoing training.
• Adhere to Sun Auto's policies and work a flexible schedule including weekends.
