Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs in a supportive shop environment. You will work under guidance, gaining hands-on experience and developing skills toward advanced technician roles while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will participate in multi-point inspections, learn diagnostics, and collaborate with a team to deliver reliable service and keep customers safely on the road.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years automotive experience in a shop, or equivalent technical training.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specifications, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and elevate concerns when appropriate.
• Basic proficiency with shop technology and diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and successful MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point inspections and document findings with photos.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs (oil, filters, tires, brakes).
• Handle tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and basic suspension work.
• Conduct basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues.
• Follow repair procedures and post-repair checks; obtain approvals as needed.
• Communicate findings and repair status to store managers and advisors.
