Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs. You’ll sharpen diagnostic skills alongside experienced techs in a training-focused shop.

Ideal candidates have automotive training or hands-on shop experience, a willingness to learn, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and opportunities to advance toward senior roles.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years automotive experience in a shop or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow procedures, torque specs and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and elevate concerns when needed.
• Basic tools and valid driver’s license; MVR check may be required.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days if required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point and digital vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Carry out maintenance and entry-level repairs (oil, filters, tires, brakes).
• Handle tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, rotations and related wear-item work.
• Perform basic diagnostics and escalate complex issues to senior technicians.
• Follow repair procedures, torque specs, and post-repair checks.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and service advisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety/environmental rules.
• Collaborate with the team, accept coaching, and participate in training.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
