Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking an Architecture Designer who supports project teams under a Registered Architect. This entry‑level role contributes to small to moderate projects, applying standard architectural principles and building knowledge.

This position offers $33.70–$38.50/hr, commensurate with experience, education and certifications, with travel to project sites as needed. Immigration sponsorship is limited to TN visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NAAB accredited Architecture program
• 0-5 years of experience
• Experience with computer-assisted design and graphic software such as Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel
• Actively pursuing Professional Architect License
• Previous experience in architectural practice
• Familiar with Building Information Modeling
• Familiar with architectural drafting, detail, and documentation standards
• Basic understanding of architectural specifications and construction document coordination

Responsibilities

• Utilize architectural design, modeling, and graphic software to develop drawings and visualizations under guidance of senior staff
• Assist BIM platforms to develop coordinated design and documentation deliverables
• Prepare architectural drawings, details, and construction documentation with increasing accuracy
• Assist in preparing architectural specifications and coordinating with docs
• Support in researching building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability requirements
• Conduct basic code research and summarize requirements for design decisions
• Assist in developing client presentation materials and participate in meetings
• Support ongoing professional development and growth
• Travel to JMT locations and project sites as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
