Job summary

AMVT LLC in Katy, Texas is seeking an Entry Level Application Engineer to support and expand our recycled material sorting solutions across North America. The role blends sales, technical support, and on-site demonstrations, with travel to client sites for installations and training.

Responsibilities

AMVT LLC, located in Katy, Texas, is a leading provider of advanced solutions in optical sorting, food inspection, packaging, and material handling. We serve a variety of industries, including food processing, agriculture, and recycling. We are currently seeking an Entry Level Application Engineer to support and expand our recycled material sorting machine business throughout the North American market.

Position Summary

As an Entry Level Application Engineer, you will play a vital role in generating new business, building strong customer relationships, and providing technical expertise for our equipment. This hands‑on position will involve travel for client meetings, site visits, product demonstrations, and technical support, including installation and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct on‑site demonstrations, installations, and customer training sessions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting, both remotely and in‑person.
  • Coordinate product evaluations and sample testing for potential clients.
  • Represent AMVT at trade shows, industry conferences, and promotional events.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and service reports.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Preferred experience in industrial equipment, specifically in food processing, agriculture, recycling, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with optical sorting machines or similar technologies is a plus.
  • A degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout North America.
