Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) in Detroit, MI is seeking a Maintenance Helper to assist Technicians with basic maintenance on Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges at the airport.

You will perform cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and assist with diagnostics under supervision, while complying with safety policies and company procedures. Strong reliability and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience, 1 year BHS or PBB experience, or pass mechanical aptitude test.
• Able to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic maintenance assignments including preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, and cleaning.
• May diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensure equipment is running safely.
• Read and interpret repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor instructions.
• Work in tight/high spaces using PPE and fall protection as required.
• Complete forms for work assignments according to procedures.
• Assist technicians with basic maintenance tasks such as sweeping, cleaning and greasing.
