Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support technicians in servicing Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges at the Windsor Locks, CT facility. You will follow instructions, read repair manuals, and assist with routine and emergency maintenance tasks, while prioritizing safety and quality.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, a GED or high school diploma, and the ability to work non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of previous mechanical experience, or be able to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Preferred: Baggage Handling System (BHS) or Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) experience.
• Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges.
• May diagnose equipment failures under guidance; ensures equipment is running safely.
• Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor instructions.
• Works in tight spaces using PPE and fall protection equipment.
• Completes safety training and forms as assigned; follows company procedures.
