Job summary

Cirrus in Minnesota is seeking a Production Technician to support composite or assembly work on aircraft structures. You will learn and apply hand-tool techniques, use pneumatic fixtures, follow build instructions, and contribute to creating high‑quality aircraft components.

The role emphasizes flexibility, meticulousness, and a willingness to learn new skills as part of a dynamic aerospace manufacturing team at Cirrus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related experience in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Knowledge of basic tools; able to select proper tool.

Responsibilities

• Learn one discipline within assembly within 3 months.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understand parts fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance.
• Set up and use bonding, drilling, and holding fixtures.
• Install rivets, screws, and bolts with appropriate tools.
• Route wires, cables, and tubing.
• Torque hardware and fittings using test equipment.
• Follow and document aircraft build instructions.
• Wear required PPE including respirator.
• Mix and apply adhesives, resins, and sealants as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
