Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth, MN is seeking a Production Technician for composites or assembly to contribute to aircraft build milestones. You will learn to use a range of hand tools and pneumatic fixtures while following Cirrus processes.

The role emphasizes learning through hands-on tasks, reading engineering drawings, inspecting components, and documenting build steps. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred experience in light manufacturing or assembly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic tool knowledge and good judgment in selecting the proper tool.
• Preferred: one year of relevant experience or training.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and calculate dimensions to the thousandth of an inch.
• Experience in auto/marine mechanics or basic assembly is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn Cirrus processes and assembler roles.
• Develop early skills to inspect, build and install aircraft components.
• Read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understand parts fit, clearance, alignment, and performance per design.
• Learn to set up and use bonding, drilling and fixtures.
• Install rivets, screws and bolts with proper tools.
• Document aircraft build instructions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Wear PPE and respirator as required.
• Assist with adhesives, resins and sealants per instructions.
