DuTrac Community Credit Union in Dubuque, IA seeks an Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable & Balancing) to maintain and balance accounting records and reports for accuracy of the General Ledger.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in accounting or a two-year accounting degree, strong keyboarding, 10-key and spreadsheet skills, and are ready for a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum two-year degree in accounting or completed specialized coursework.
• Strong keyboarding, 10-key and spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect bills, date stamp invoices, prep payments and file to GL accounts.
• Daily balancing of debit/credit card activity and EFT activity.
• Balance SWBC online payments and checks received; verify payments.
• Pay corporate cards and monthly expense reports.
• Handle back-office corrections; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Monthly balancing of investments and broker data; make entries as needed.
• Assist with budget process and cover duties when needed.
