Job summary

Pacific Office Automation is seeking an entry-level Accounting Assistant to join the Beaverton, OR team. The role focuses on accounts payable and bank statement oversight, offering an opportunity to grow in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Ideal candidates will have 0–3 years of accounting experience, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and a strong eye for detail. Compensation is $19/hour with benefits including health coverage and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent accounting experience will also be considered
• 0–3 years of accounting experience or other relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
• Process payments to multiple vendors in a timely manner
• Communicate and collaborate with internal departments and external vendors
• Research, identify, and resolve discrepancies
• Verify accounting entries and reconcile balances to reports
• Prepare and issue payments by check or wire transfer
• Assist with additional accounting tasks and projects as needed
