Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• ASCP Cytogenetics certification required.
• Experience in laboratory sciences.
• Continuing education hours required for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, maintains, and harvests cell cultures for genetic testing.
• Analyzes banded metaphase spreads or interphase nuclei for abnormalities.
• Documents laboratory findings accurately on forms or charts.
• Performs staining and probes for routine analyses under QC policies.
• Maintains sterile technique and safety protocols.
