Job summary

CSI Laboratories, a Fulgent Genetics Company, is recruiting for an Entry level Flow Cytometry Technician at CSI Site - Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on performing flow cytometry processing for Leukemia/Lymphoma and PNH testing, with data acquisition, QC/QA support, instrument maintenance, and participation in validation projects.

Ideal candidates hold a 4 Year Degree, with 0-2 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related field.
• 0-2 years of flow cytometry experience preferred but not required.
• Certification as a medical laboratory technologist or clinical scientist with a recognized agency (ASCP, NCA, HEW, etc).
• Continuing education requirements apply for licensure/certification maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation: Identify, lyse, and stain samples for flow cytometric testing.
• Sample Splits: Observe sterile technique in daily responsibilities for splitting samples and preparation for other departments.
• Cytometers: Identify and acquire patient samples, troubleshoot and perform daily maintenance on cytometers.
• Laboratory equipment: Perform quality control, calibration, routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Fresh Prep: Verify specimens properly identified and processed with accompanying documents.
• Reports: Locate and maintain patient reports/folders using LIS.
• SOPs: Participate in development/updates of SOPs.
• Professional Development: Attend in-services and stay updated in flow cytometry developments.
• Quality Control: Follow QC policies and applicable laws.
