Osanni Bio in San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an entrepreneurial Principal, New Ventures to drive opportunity screening and lead the development of novel program concepts from early scientific insight through a clear path toward proof-of-concept. You’ll partner with the Sr.

Director, Discovery Innovation and the broader team to discover and evaluate therapeutic opportunities, build the case for pursuing them, and move fast past the ones that aren’t.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in biotech or pharmaceutical innovation.
• Experience in venture, business development, licensing or program leadership.
• Ability to translate early science into a proof-of-concept plan.

Responsibilities

• Screen opportunities across new therapeutic areas and modalities.
• Define target product profiles reflecting mechanism, PK/PD, regulatory and commercial considerations.
• Build the non-scientific case for a program, including IP and exclusivity positioning and regulatory pathway.
• Partner with scientific teams to plan preclinical and clinical work toward proof-of-concept.
• Create project plans with timelines, resourcing needs and decision frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Discovery Innovation team to evaluate opportunities as tools mature.
• Build and manage relationships with external scientific, clinical, and business partners.
• Drive effective decision-making across the innovation portfolio.
