Job summary

EnquBio is seeking a visionary head to guide Assay and Screening Sciences in San Diego. Lead a high-performing team, shape scientific strategy, and drive innovative assay platforms for internal and client programs. The role demands a track record in CRO/biotech leadership, strong business acumen, and excellent stakeholder communication.

The Head will oversee study execution, foster collaborations, and contribute to growth through strategic investments and new technologies.

Qualifications

PhD or MS with extensive industry experience in CRO/biotech/pharma.
Deep expertise in assay development, HTS, and SAR screening.
Hands-on experience with cell-based and biochemical assay platforms.
Proven ability to build and lead scientific teams in fast-paced environments.
Client-facing scientific leadership and business development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and scale the Assay and Screening group with focus on team development and resource planning.
Provide scientific leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality study execution and on-time delivery.
Lead development, optimization, and validation of in vitro and cell-based assay platforms.
Drive adoption of new technologies and external collaborations to expand capabilities.
Partner with leadership to define strategic investments and capability expansion.
Collaborate with business development to grow service offerings and revenue.
Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and partnerships.
Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational growth.
Evaluate emerging scientific trends to strengthen competitive position.
