You will ideate and refine scientific roadmaps, recruit key partners, establish IP, and shape culture and operating principles across Flagship’s ecosystem. Ambition, curiosity, and a passion for biotechnology innovation are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific field with strong research background.
• Proven ability to rapidly become conversant in new areas of science and engage thought leaders.

Responsibilities

• Explore white spaces: identify emerging frontiers in biology and technology.
• Hypothesize & stress-test: generate venture hypotheses and run rapid experiments.
• Design venture blueprints: translate concepts into technical thesis, experiments, and go-to-market plans.
• Shape new companies: contribute to conception and early-stage launch of ventures.
• Collaborate across disciplines: work with scientists, product thinkers, and entrepreneurs.
• Synthesize insights: translate complex information into actionable venture decisions.
• Push the frontier: stay ahead of advances with creative, critical thinking.
