Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a team member responsible for merchandise protection, customer service, and ensuring a safe shopping experience at the Alexandria location. You will monitor entrances, assist members, and uphold club standards while supporting fast, accurate checkout flows.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and a collaborative team environment with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and an attention to detail are required.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Ability to use a smart handheld device.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Must be employed with the company for at least 6 months.
• At least 18 years of age, except in the following states: Indiana – 19, Delaware – 21

Responsibilities

• Delivers superior member service, greeting and assisting members in a prompt, friendly and professional manner.
• Maintains merchandise protection procedures and shrink alert protocols.
• Reviews AP Alert Binder according to AP standards.
• Follow BEST procedures including cross-checking merchandise to member receipts and verifying high dollar items.
• Audits Express Pay, BOPIC, Curbside Pick-up, and Same Day Delivery.
• Monitor member and visitor traffic entering and exiting the club.
• Responds to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms according to procedures.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
