Job summary

Universal Studios Hollywood is seeking a Technical Manager – Entertainment Technical to lead planning, development, and execution of high-profile entertainment projects and events. You will coordinate across Entertainment, Technical Services, Creative, Operations, Safety, and vendors to ensure safe, on-time delivery that meets creative and operational requirements.

The role requires 7+ years in themed entertainment with at least 3 years in leadership, plus strong knowledge of show systems, AV,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in theatre production, entertainment tech, construction management, PM, or related field.
Minimum 7 years in special events, theatrical production, themed entertainment, live shows, or similar.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing projects and teams.
Experience delivering complex entertainment projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, development, and execution of entertainment projects, live shows, events, and activations.
Direct all technical aspects from concept through turnover to operations.
Identify risks and drive mitigation for scope, budget, and schedule.
Provide technical leadership across show, electrical, AV systems, and architecture.
Review design packages, fabrication docs, and vendor deliverables.
Develop technical solutions aligning creative intent with operations.
