Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort seeks a strategic leader for Technical Entertainment, overseeing live entertainment, parades, shows and marquee events. You will set technical standards, manage maintenance and regulatory compliance for complex systems, and lead cross-functional teams across the resort.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a Technical Management position with a strong background in Entertainment High Risk fields such as Rigging, SPFX, Pyrotechnics, Fireworks, Drones.
• Executive level experience leading a large team.
• Ability to assess and solve complex issues independently.
• Hazard Analysis and Technical Compliance documentation, Budgeting, permitting, SOP & Scope writing.
• Knowledge of ATF fireworks requirements, NFPA 160, 1123, 1124 & 1126 as it applies to pyrotechnics and flame systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains technical standards, procedures & operational requirements for high-risk activities.
• Provides leadership for Technical Entertainment operations across everyday and marquee events.
• Oversees maintenance, reliability, and asset planning for show systems and rigging.
• Leads scope development, budgeting, scheduling, vendor selection, and design reviews for events.
• Directs and develops Technical Entertainment leadership teams with cross-functional partners.
• Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per policy.
