Job summary
Universal Orlando Resort seeks a seasoned Technical Entertainment leader to drive strategic and operational performance across live shows, parades and marquee events in Orlando. You will set technical standards, oversee maintenance and reliability, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and engineering requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required (entertainment field preferred).
- 7+ years’ experience in a Technical Management position with a strong background in Entertainment High Risk field – Rigging, SPFX, Pyrotechnics, Fireworks, Drones.
- Prior demonstrated experience in an executive level capacity leading a large team.
- Hazard Analysis and Technical Compliance documentation creation, Budgeting, permitting, SOP & Scope writing, Type 1 engineering needs.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains technical standards, procedures & operational requirements for high-risk activities in entertainment.
- Provides leadership and oversight of Technical Entertainment operations across daily venue entertainment and marquee events.
- Oversees maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and long-term asset planning for show systems and rigging structures.
- Directs scope development, budgeting, scheduling, vendor selection, and installation for marquee and nighttime spectaculars.
- Leads Entertainment leadership teams, ensuring safety, training, resourcing and alignment with stakeholders.
