Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Technical Manager – Entertainment Technical for Universal Studios Hollywood. You will lead planning, execution, and delivery of technical entertainment projects, live shows, and events, coordinating with Entertainment, Technical Services, Creatives, Operations, and regulators.

You will provide technical leadership across show systems, electrical systems, AV technologies, and production disciplines, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery for high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Production, Entertainment Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in special events, theatrical production, or related tech production environments.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing projects, teams, or production activities.
• Experience delivering complex entertainment projects with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of entertainment projects, events, and seasonal activations.
• Direct and manage all technical aspects from concept through turnover.
• Identify risks, mitigate issues affecting scope, budget, or schedule.
• Provide technical leadership across show systems, electrical, AV, and related disciplines.
• Lead design reviews, fabrication documents, and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate with vendors, field teams, and operations for successful project delivery.
