Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support entertainment shows by conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance of audio, lighting, video, and related systems. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, data entry, and timely communication on repairs with a strong safety mindset.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of experience with entertainment equipment, an AA or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and be capable of interpreting technical drawings

Qualifications

Must possess knowledge of entertainment systems theory.
1-3 years’ experience in maintaining and repair of entertainment equipment.
1-3 years basic troubleshooting knowledge of entertainment systems.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections and preventative maintenance on technical entertainment systems and elements.
Perform start up and checks of Entertainment venues to ensure systems are ready for daily operation.
Provide accurate data entry and timely communications on PM tasks, corrective actions and repairs; list parts required.
Respond to service calls and show incidents with safety rules and internal partners.
Apply basic troubleshooting to diagnose failures and propose corrective actions.
