Job summary

NPR is seeking a Project Manager in Washington, DC, to serve as the central operational coordinator within the Office of Transformation. You will steer high-priority initiatives, coordinate deliverables across NPR and NPR Music teams, and ensure milestones are met on schedule.

This role requires 3–5 years of PM experience, advanced tracking methodologies, and a proven ability to align cross-departmental resources.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated professional project management experience steering enterprise-level transitions or systems implementations.
• Demonstrated experience using advanced project management tracking methodologies, software, and dashboarding tools.
• Proven success directing cross-departmental teams where deliverables depend on multiple matrixed stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Timeline & Milestone Enforcement: Design, monitor, and manage the master project roadmaps for critical Transformation initiatives, driving accountability across cross-functional streams.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary operational connector between the Office of Transformation and other NPR and NPM teams, for operational support on NPR’s Transformation effort.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project dependencies, flag operational bottlenecks, and work with stakeholders to implement solutions to keep projects moving forward on time.
• Status Reporting & Governance: Maintain real-time status dashboards and reports, facilitate meetings, and package project updates for institutional leadership.
• Coordination Support: Assist the SVP of Transformation in coordinating projects and resources across NPR teams to further our Transformation goals.
