Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking an IT Manager to lead the development, implementation, and support of enterprise software across a multi‑platform environment. You will supervise staff, ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with IT PMO to assess requirements and select solutions.

The role requires a BS in CS or related field, 10 years of experience with 5 in supervisory roles, and strong ASP.NET, database, and data modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred.
• Ten years of job-related experience with five years of supervisory/management roles.
• Full stack development experience focusing on ASP.NET with strong multi-platform skills and data modeling knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work with public officials, vendors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, implementation, and support of enterprise software across multiple platforms.
• Manage supervised staff including customer service, quality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor status, deliverables, timelines, and budget for software projects.
• Collaborate with IT PMO to evaluate requirements and select solutions.
• Develop relationships with vendors and manage procurement tasks.
• Participate in drafting RFPs, statements of work, and software agreements.
• Hire, evaluate, and discipline assigned staff.
• Participate in emergency management duties as needed.
