Job summary

Larimer County is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and modernize its enterprise technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security. The role supports a major Juniper Mist network initiative and requires on-site presence with 24/7 on-call coverage.

Expected duties include planning, deployment, troubleshooting, and automation to enhance reliability and efficiency across local and remote sites. Strong collaboration with IT teams and business partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 1 year of project management/PM experience.
• 1 year coordinating cross-functional teams.
• CSM certification within 1 year of hire.
• Reliable transportation to cover county-wide work.

Responsibilities

• Administering and maintaining enterprise servers, networks, and related infrastructure.
• Monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable day-to-day operations.
• Install, patch, upgrade, and maintain server OS and software.
• Developing backup, recovery, and data protection strategies.
• Support network installations and configurations at local and remote sites.
• Develop scripts to automate tasks and reduce repetitive work.
• Maintain system documentation and inventories.
• Collaborate with IT teams on projects and improvements.
• Provide 24x7 on-call coverage and minimize operational disruption.
