Job summary

Culp, Inc. in High Point, NC is seeking an IT Technician to support and improve our enterprise technology environment.

You will analyze business requirements, administer core systems, coordinate upgrades, and implement secure, reliable solutions in collaboration with IT and business teams. Responsibilities include administering Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Defender ATP, and Windows systems; handling helpdesk tickets; testing upgrades; and assisting with AI-driven automation

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in an IT technician, systems administration, or enterprise support role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, endpoint management, Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
• Working knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, security, databases, and troubleshooting practices.
• Experience gathering requirements, testing changes, documenting systems, and supporting projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and customer-service skills.
• Familiarity with scripting, automation, AI-enabled tools, or process mapping is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience.
• Up to 25% local travel may be required. No direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support systems including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune endpoint management, Defender ATP, Windows systems.
• Manage helpdesk and infrastructure tickets generated by end users and various monitoring platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues across the whole technology stack including systems, networking, security appliances and software.
• Evaluate system performance, user feedback, and business requirements; recommend and implement practical technical solutions.
• Plan, test, document, and support system upgrades, hardware/software installations, integrations, and changes to legacy environments.
• Provide advanced end-user support and training; communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist with AI, automation, and process improvement initiatives; identify use cases, test solutions, document workflows, and support adoption.
• Maintain technical documentation, functional specifications, project status, and knowledge resources.
• Coordinate assigned projects to meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations; participate in an on-call rotation as required.
