Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Enterprise to join our Field Engineering team in the New York City area. You will be the trusted technical advisor helping large strategic customers evaluate, adopt, and expand their use of the dbt platform.

You’ll partner with Sales to translate technical needs into measurable business value across the customer lifecycle. You’ll design data transformation architectures, lead evaluations and trials, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and partners

Qualifications

• 4+ years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or similar.
• Strong technical foundation in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Understanding of modern cloud data warehouse architectures.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers, linking requirements to outcomes.
• Design enterprise-grade data transformation architectures using dbt.
• Partner with Sales to communicate the value of the dbt platform.
• Lead customer evaluations and validation, including trials and proofs-of-value.
• Build trusted relationships with data practitioners, data leaders, and executives.
• Guide customers through architecture, security, governance, and deployment considerations.
• Partner across the customer lifecycle to support adoption and expansion.
• Provide feedback to Product and Engineering to influence product strategy.
• Build relationships with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and other partners.
• Share best practices with Field Engineering and dbt community.
