Job summary

SUSE is seeking a Solution Architect to join our Global Sales Productivity organization in San Jose, CA. This US West region role will engage with customers on IT transformation objectives and map requirements to SUSE offerings.

You will collaborate with SUSE Account Executives, demonstrate SUSE Linux Enterprise, Rancher, and NeuVector, and drive pre-sales activities from discovery through demonstrations, positioning, and win strategies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in the software industry with open source background and SUSE portfolio knowledge (SUSE Linux Enterprise, Rancher, NeuVector).
• 5+ years delivering technical expertise to large or global businesses and driving technology adoption.
• Experience with DevOps or platform engineering concepts and IaC tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation software.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use in-depth SUSE product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales and customers via discovery, presentations, and demonstrations.
• Develop and implement complex products, applications, or solutions with SUSE offerings.
• Discover and capture business cases and technical details for opportunities; map to SUSE solutions.
• Collaborate with sales to apply SUSE software solutions to customer needs and drive pre-sales relationships.
• Provide trusted thought leadership internally and to customers; follow standard SUSE processes.
