Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, align delivery with IT standards, and deliver enterprise solutions. The role combines architectural oversight with hands-on code development and mentoring across project teams.

The candidate will collaborate with architects, developers, business users and a Delivery Manager to ensure alignment with business processes and IT design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years in database technologies.
• 5 years on SDLC projects.
• 3 years in systems analysis and high level design.
• Experience in RPG, Java, SQL, Angular and APIs design.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and design solutions.
• Review development of enterprise software solutions.
• Lead design and mentorship half the time; deliver code half the time.
• Develop and validate complex software designs.
• Contribute to technical direction for integrated enterprise solutions.
• Document requirements, design, and test scripts.
