Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Sales Development Manager to contact prospective customers and sell J.B. Hunt solutions across transportation modes. You will onboard new clients, align internal teams, and develop strategies to drive customer success through to account maturity.

You will conduct high-velocity prospecting, discuss business needs, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts with a focus on North American Truckload opportunities. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED and 2–3 years in Sales or Account Management or military experience with NA Truckload exposure.
• Willingness to travel to local customer sites with occasional overnight travel.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record per company standards.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Admin/Management, or Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data insights and sales enablement tools to generate leads and pursue new business opportunities.
• Meet with prospective customers to understand needs, scope opportunities, submit proposals, and win contracts.
• Develop account strategy for maintenance and growth; transition to internal account management after onboarding.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to implement solutions and define implementation strategies.
• Set expectations during implementation and monitor KPI reviews, revenue quality, and contract terms.
