Job summary

SanMar in Issaquah, WA, is seeking an Enterprise Safety & Security Director to lead enterprise safety, security, and risk management initiatives. The role partners with leaders across departments to create standardized policies and resilient processes supporting growth.

The incumbent will oversee governance, crisis preparedness, and executive reporting while driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This hybrid role requires strategic influence and deep security expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related education and/or professional experience in security, safety, risk, asset protection, or related operations.
• Proven program-building, influence, communication, and change-leadership skills.
• Ability to build influence across the enterprise without direct authority and drive adoption of safety standards.
• CPP, PSP, CSP, CHST, OHST or comparable certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the enterprise safety and security strategy, establishing standards, governance, and long‑term plans.
• Lead risk assessments for facilities, operations, and expansion projects to reduce risk and support business objectives.
• Provide executive reporting on enterprise risks, incidents, and program effectiveness.
• Develop training and awareness programs to strengthen safety culture across the organization.
• Coordinate with DOSH/OSHA/EPA/DOT requirements and support compliance audits.
