Job summary

Sakata Seed America, Inc. is seeking a Safety and Security Manager to lead companywide safety and security programs across locations. The role develops policies, procedures, training, inspections, and incident management to reduce injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with site leadership, HR, IT, facilities, and outside vendors to implement consistent safety practices, manage hazardous materials, and oversee security systems and emergency response processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in safety, security, EHS, risk management, or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA/Cal/OSHA requirements and incident prevention.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel to SAH locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead companywide safety and security programs and partner with site leadership to drive improvements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, corrective actions, and safety improvement initiatives across locations.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, and data analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee access control, security systems, alarm systems, CCTV, and visitor management at sites.
