Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Program Safety Senior Advisor to lead enterprise-wide safety programs, such as Safety Observations and Driver Safety, and to advance policies that protect employees and contractor partners. You will analyze and report on safety goals while using technology to share communications across the organization.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in health, safety, or compliance programs, activities, or systems.
• Experience developing, managing, and maturing enterprise-wide driver and/or safety programs.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, with experience guiding organizations on compliance and practical solutions.
• Experience developing and communicating briefings, policy options, project plans, to company leadership.
• Strong interpersonal relationships with cross-functional alignment.
• Experience in safety, utility operations, regulatory compliance, and related fields.
• Experience navigating competing priorities and influencing key stakeholders.
• Experience with AI Technology/tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Develops and runs enterprise-wide safety programs and initiatives; develops new processes and programs to drive Edison Safety objectives.
• Acts as a lead, coordinating with technical experts in safety culture, safety management systems and strategy; influences decisions on practices and policies.
• Analyzes complex technical problems and delivers solutions where precedent may not exist.
• Establishes project objectives and manages timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and budgets; approves tasks for successful execution.
• Drives implementation of safety programs and policies for the enterprise with strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Present, facilitate, and provide recommendations at executive forums and develop materials for leadership.
