Job summary

Baker Electric seeks a Safety Programs & Systems Manager to lead enterprise safety programs, governance, and assurance across corporate and field operations. You will partner with executive leadership to scale safety processes, improve controls, and drive continuous improvement using digital tools.

The role focuses on implementing safety management systems, data-driven performance metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory compliance and field adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible safety/EHS leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience administering or owning EHS software, workflows, and reporting.
• Strong analytical capabilities with KPIs, dashboards, and leadership reporting.
• Working knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA requirements and construction safety management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to translate technical safety requirements into business processes.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise safety strategy into prioritized programs, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead development, standardization, and continuous improvement of safety programs and tools.
• Assess and simplify safety processes to improve adoption and consistency.
• Lead cross-functional safety improvement initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Establish governance and change-management processes for safety programs.
• Monitor emerging safety practices and technology and recommend strategic enhancements.
• Own safety management platform and related digital tools; oversee integrations with HRIS and analytics systems.
• Lead data governance, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership visibility.
• Design audits and assurance activities to ensure timely corrective actions and sustained effectiveness.
