The Baker Company in Sanford, Maine is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to provide strategic leadership to our Electrical Engineering team and to guide the development and support of biosafety cabinets and related products.

You will lead motors, blowers, machine control systems, and hardware/software development while ensuring regulatory compliance, quality, and performance. This role emphasizes Lean process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years Electrical Engineering experience.
• Five years of leadership/management in a technical environment.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

Mansioni

• Provide technical leadership for the Electrical Engineering team (motors, blowers, control systems, hardware/software).
• Ensure compliance with UL, CE, and other certifications.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of new technologies with validation and testing.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews and staff development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on IP protection and customer-focused design.
• Apply Lean tools to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
