Job summary

Baker Group in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Safety Manager to safeguard workers by promoting and enforcing safety policies across project sites. You will lead safety meetings, audits and training, and drive continuous improvement in health and safety programs.

The role requires collaborating with project teams, ensuring OSHA compliance, managing incident investigations and workers' compensation processes, and providing guidance on safety in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred, CHST, CSP, GSP, ASP and/or 5 years' experience in construction or industrial safety.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal safety standards, as well as Workers' Compensation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance and evaluate performance.
• Plan, implement and conduct safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures.
• Plan, implement, manage and maintain comprehensive environmental safety and health programs on premises or at project sites.
• Advise management on safety issues and compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Develop Emergency Action Plans and serve as primary contact for incident notification and investigation.
