Job summary

Bonded Filter Company seeks a Safety Director to lead enterprise safety strategy across multi-state field operations, manufacturing, and corporate teams. You will design scalable safety programs, ensure OSHA compliance, and drive reductions in incidents and exposure while embedding safety into daily execution.

You will partner with operational leaders to integrate safety into daily routines, manage budgets, and build a culture of near-miss reporting and continuous improvement across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive safety leadership experience in multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping; experience with inspections and investigations.
• Travel frequently (30–50%) to support field operations.
• Proven ability to build scalable safety programs and drive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Own safety vision, annual safety plan, and enterprise safety operating rhythm (KPIs, reviews, audits, field engagement cadence).
• Establish clear safety governance, including policies/standards, roles and responsibilities, escalation protocols, and accountability mechanisms.
• Develop and manage the safety budget, including vendor strategy, PPE, training platforms, and inspection/audit tools.
• Build and maintain practical safety programs for route-based technicians (driving/vehicle safety, fall prevention, LOTO, site hazards).
• Partner with Regional Service/Operations Managers to integrate safety into daily huddles, route planning, and supervisor routines.
• Implement near-miss and hazard reporting processes that are simple, timely, and actionable; monitor closure rates and corrective actions.
• Lead safety programs for manufacturing and facility environments (machine guarding, LOTO, ergonomics, chemical safety, PPE).
• Ensure site inspections, JSAs/JHAs, and corrective action tracking are completed on schedule and to standard.
• OSHA compliance and readiness; maintain readiness for inspections and respond to inquiries.
• Own OSHA recordkeeping (300/300A/301), incident classification, and reporting timelines.
• Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training requirements consistent with operations and standards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Partner with HR and workers’ compensation administrator to improve claim outcomes and return-to-work practices.
• Analyze trends and translate insights into prevention initiatives.
• Build scalable safety training architecture (onboarding, recurring training, supervisor training).
• Develop safety communications and campaigns for frontline employees.
• Coach leaders on safety leadership and enforcement of standards.
• Own enterprise safety dashboards and reporting (DART, TRIR, audit scores).
• Provide monthly/quarterly updates to ELT/SLT and regional leaders.
• Lead continuous improvement to standardize practices across regions.
• Manage relationships with safety vendors; partner with Operations, HR, Fleet, Training.
